How to Make Money in WARDOGS: Cash and Spending
A qualifying defibrillator revive is estimated at $600 cash, and a passenger surviving a trip at $500, outside objective zones under ordinary conditions. Choose the job your team needs, then compare your net cash after equipment costs and losses.

What do common actions pay?
These are estimates for one qualifying event outside the Control Zone and Hot Zone, with no repeat-target penalty. They are not cash-per-hour rates. Time, equipment costs, losses, server conditions, bonuses and later patches can change what you actually earn.
Update 0.1.2 made revive validity server-authoritative and changed several exploit-related rewards. The publisher did not give revised numeric payouts, so the table remains a labeled retail-data estimate for qualifying events.
| Action | Event cash | Role XP |
|---|---|---|
| Revive with a defibrillator | $600 | 250 |
| Passenger survives a trip | $500 | 100 |
| Player kill | $300 | 250 |
| Spot an enemy player | $100 | 25 |
The official cash rules
Official description: BULKHEAD and Team17: official game description
The publisher describes a $10,000 starting balance, equipment purchases for each life and cash that persists between matches. Reviving teammates, transporting players and objective control are named earning activities. The Hot Zone is described as paying double cash.
The rules alone do not establish a reliable cash-per-hour ranking. The comparison above estimates specified individual rewards from the recorded game values; it does not claim a current server multiplier or a universal fastest method.
Three starting jobs to compare
Official description: BULKHEAD and Team17: official game description
The earning activities are named by the developer. The checks below are a suggested way to choose between them, not a claim that the three jobs have equal rewards or that one wins every cash-per-hour comparison.
| Activity | Choose it when | Cost or result to check |
|---|---|---|
| Revive teammates | You can reach a real casualty and help the team retain its position. | Equipment consumed, replacement kit costs and your ending balance. |
| Transport friendlies | A team actually needs the route and you can operate the vehicle. | Vehicle acquisition, useful completed trips and losses. |
| Control the objective | Your presence helps the contest and you can sustain the kit. | Time contributing versus travel, waiting and repeated kit replacement. |
Choose an earning job you can actually perform
- Compare the cost of an effective ground kit with the cost and unlock requirement of a transport or specialist kit.
- Choose a team need you can serve repeatedly. A costly vehicle without a useful transport job is not automatically a good investment.
- Record cash before and after purchases, then record the ending balance after the activity. Include losses and replacement equipment.
- Repeat under comparable conditions before concluding that one activity is better. Keep the patch, server conditions and elapsed time with your observations.
Measure net earnings rather than headline rewards
For an observation that includes all purchases, net cash change equals ending balance minus starting balance. Net cash per hour equals that change divided by elapsed hours.
Start the observation before buying the kit. Starting after the purchase excludes its cost and overstates the return. Keep any unrelated balance changes outside the comparison or account for them separately.
A low-cost method with a repeatable positive net result can suit your budget better than an expensive method with a larger gross reward. That is a decision rule, not a measured ranking of WARDOGS roles.
Protect the next useful kit
Use the planner for unlock fees and the loadout builder for equipment spending. Decide how much reserve you need for another attempt before committing the rest to an upgrade.
Unknown prices make the estimated cost incomplete. Verify them in the current shop rather than assuming the missing item is free.
Temporary bonuses are not permanent earning rates
Official announcement: BULKHEAD: Patch 0.11 and economy-abuse policy, September 12
The September 12 Patch 0.11 announcement offered a 5% end-of-match cash bonus on community servers for one week. That announcement alone does not establish an active bonus on September 22. Check a current notice before selecting a server for an advertised multiplier.
Normal earning versus exploit farming
Official announcement: BULKHEAD: Patch 0.11 and economy-abuse policy, September 12
The same announcement warns of sanctions for economy abuse and permanent bans for dedicated XP-farming servers. Productive teamplay is a different thing from repeatedly exploiting a bug.
Sources and limitations
Equipment values use the same catalogue as the linked equipment and mechanics pages. Weapon comparison tables use the same calculation model as the comparison tool. Installed defaults can differ from live offers or server-side changes. Missing values remain explicitly unknown. An article update date does not mean every underlying game fact was retested on that date.
